Delighted to read this article. I know Jo and know how hard working she and the team at Complete Kidz are, so I am thrilled for them.
As a volunteer, RFU accredited rugby coach, who has worked with children from all sorts of backgrounds, I take child health, safety and wellbeing very seriously. Luckily, I belong to an outstanding community rugby club, Camp Hill RFC, which puts safeguarding and inclusion right at the heart of all we do.
We are privileged as coaches to be a significant part of these children's lives and with it, comes a great responsibility, to ensure the children are happy and safe. Volunteer or paid, should make no difference.
So on the eve of England vs Wales, in what could be be the 2017 '6 Nations' decider - a whistle and a big shout out to all responsible kids coaches. Who knows you might have the next Chris Robshaw in your care - so be kind!
The staff of Black Country community interest company Complete Kidz are celebrating after gaining Gold CAA accreditation – becoming the first CIC in the UK to achieve this important accreditation. Dr Amanda Gummer PhD, Founder of Fundamentally Children, said “Complete Kidz is an outstanding CIC providing a huge range of children’s care and activities at the very highest level. Their excellent systems and processes truly deserve Gold accreditation and we are delighted that they are the first CIC to achieve our highest standard”.
